Duckett Brothers Distributing formerly known as Tico Duckett Distributing is a Mid-Michigan based janitorial and industrial supply company. DBD is a minority owned company, with over 24 years experience serving municipalities, large insurance companies, a variety of manufacturers, and numerous suppliers to the automotive industry.
Started by entrepreneur, Tico Duckett, DBD began as Tico Duckett Distributing in 1998. Tico took his expertise as a former senior buyer of a large manufacturing company and transferred his knowledge to his business. With his experience, Tico has been able to provide a unique prospective on its customer needs. In 2009, the company was later changed to Duckett Brothers Distributing when Tico’s brother, TJ Duckett joined as partner.

Tico Duckett is owner and operator of DBD. He is a Michigan State University Alumni, and is best known as a star player on the MSU Spartan football team holding the all-time record for rushing yardage during his college career. Upon graduation, Tico began a successful year as a NFL player for the Washington Redskins. Tico then excelled as Senior Buyer for the Wohlert purchasing department. Realizing the need for better suppliers, Tico formed Tico Duckett Distributing in 1998. The work ethic Tico portrayed on the football field has continued in his work ethic and dedication for his business every day. By displaying the same level of hard work and discipline that lead him to success on the football field he has successfully grown his business to become one of leaders in janitorial and industrial supply in the Mid-Michigan area.
Tico also places a high emphasis on his commitment to the community. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Capital Area United Way and the Boys and Girls Club of Lansing, while also being a member of the Greater Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Michigan Minority Business Development Council,Sparrow Hospital Athletes for Kids, and the Michigan State University Alumni Association.
Todd Jeffrey (“T.J.”) Duckett, CEO of Duckett Enterprises, Founder of New World Flood, Co-Owner of Duckett Brothers Facilities Management and Co-Founder of The Black Success Network & Career Training Camp, from Kalamazoo, MI. is a former American football running back in the National Football League. He was a First Round draft pick by the Atlanta Falcons and also played for the Washington Redskins, Detroit Lions, and Seattle Seahawks. He played college football at Michigan State University, where he studied Communications.
Today, simply known as Todd or The Reignmaker, he has transformed into a loving husband , a dedicated Father of five amazing children, an entrepreneur, philanthropist, motivational speaker and transformation coach. Todd is building a living legacy that will continue to provide opportunities for education and volunteerism for children and adults.
In 2011, Duckett Enterprises was born with the mission to build businesses that would have a true and positive impact on the community, focused on “giving back.” In addition to establishing New World Flood and The Black Success Network in 2011, other organizations founded by Todd include The Printing King and District Eleven.
